Frequency, Wavelength, & Amplitude

There are several features of wave that we are interested in. One of them is frequency.
Frequency is the number of waves passing a point in a second. Its unit is hertz. Amplitude refers
to the distance from the midpoint to the crest or trough of the wave. Wavelength of a wave is the
distance from the top of one crest to the top the next crest. The unit of wavelength is meter. The
period of a wave or vibration is the time for one complete vibration. Since we are measuring the
duration of a wave, the unit is second.
