Division of Labor

There are significantly more unicellular organisms than multicellular organisms. Therefore,
multicellular organisms have a division of labor rendering them more effective in
their function. A variety of multicellular organisms evolved due to this characteristic.
What are the benefits of being multicellular organisms?

The cells of multicellular organisms demonstrate division of labor and responsibility.
Each cell has its unique specialized responsibility, and if there is a deficiency of any
cell then there is no way to complete its work. Each cell completes its function, and
cannot take on the function of another.
