ཟླ་མཚན་རྒྱུན་འཁོར།
biol. The series of bodily changes in women and other female primates in which the lining of the uterus thickens to allow for implantation of a fertilized egg. The cycle takes about a month to complete, with ovulation usually occurring around the midway point. If the egg produced is not fertilized, the lining of the uterus breaks down and is discharged during menstruation.
